FM3 has a demo, so you can see what the racing's like, just keep it mind that all of the cool bells and whistles that come with the game like the storefront, livery editor, and auction house aren't in the demo at all.

I also enjoyed IU despite its flaws.  Also I only paid $9.99 for it new that also helped it gain bonus points at that price a game has to be terrible for me to hate it.

another question: if i were to get a gears of war title... should i start with the first or just get the second one?

Forza is very meticulous there is a ton of stuff to enjoy in the game but you seem to be more of a fan of arcade racers so maybe you should get Forza 2 which is like 10 bucks or less and see if you enjoy the gameplay.

Start with the first. The second one is a bit longer and has a superior campaign, but the first is so awesome that you simply need to get both, so why not playing it before Gears 2 ?

First one has better boss battles btw. and the 2nd chapter is probably the best one in the whole series.
Game is awesome in singleplayer, but co-op takes it to a whole new level.

Yep. Be aware that it is complete over-the-top grunty meathead stuff, but it is great nonetheless.

i hope the HDMI cable i also ordered will arrive tomorrow as well... the standard cable produces a horrible picture on a 1080P TV. also, then i can play it on my 720p projector... woohoo!

Why did you get a 360 if you don't want to play shooters? Ps3 is absolutely the better console in every way. The only point you can argue 360 is stronger at, is shooters because there are simply more of them, and the halo franchise.

how about: price?

i just got an arcade for 160 euros since i have a couple of external hdds lying around anyway, and the 32gb i am allowed to use of them should be more than enough for me. i don't need the wlan adapter either because i just use an old router as an access point to connect the xbox.

a ps3 would have cost me at least 100 euros more... to put that in perspective: all the games i bought so far, look at the previous pages if you want to know which ones, barely cost me those 100 euros, COMBINED.

and i usually prefer PC anway, so i wanted a cheap console in addition to cover (almost) all the games i'm interested in. i don't care if i miss out on a handful of stellar ps3 games. among pc, wii and xbox i have access to way more games than i could ever hope to play.
