Honestly I'm a lil worried about the whole Xbox project. What if they pull out after this gen?

Why would they drop out now? The 360 has been a great success and MS has a nice share of the gaming market. Isn't that what they set out to accomplish?

Yeah, maybe it's exactly that - mission accomplished - we stopped Sony to take over the living room so why are we gonna spend more billions on the Xbox?

Remember even the X360 is a loss affair.

id have to disagree.

360 will still have a slew of exclusive content.

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

Why did you switch your avatar to a Bungie one all of the sudden?

Microsoft gained the rights to Halo as part of the deal to let Bungie become independent.

what are microsoft going to do with halo? how many halos have been out? are they going to keep on milking the franchise for ever? most 360 owners love bungie, this will be a let down for them. what microsoft have to do them is to start another franchise.

Being in 3rd place never felt so good

Maybe this could end up good for the Halo franchise.Maybe new developers will bring an air of freshness into future Halo games cause let's admit it...Halo 2, 3 and ODST were great games but did anyone see a huge progress in the IP since the days of the first Halo?

hopefully MS will now try to start making their own games and not rely on 3rd parties so heavily. Thats y Sony is getting their ass kicked this gen. When they started putting out their own games you saw an upswing in sales. oh and MS should just give back Rare, they aint been doing crap anyway.

Did Nintendo ever stop milking Mario?  Or Zelda?

There is nothing wrong with making a game in the Halo universe especially if they follow different paths and take different stories.  There have only been 5 total Halo games, only 3 were full Halo FPS games, one RTS, and one expansion type game.

PGR? big LOL. Definitely not a pillar game. And MS still has Halo so...

343 Studios begs to differ. They will make plenty of Halo games, and they are also comprised of former Bungie employees.

Turn 10's Forza is an amazing racing Sim that will most likely surpass what PGR did in sales, and garner better reviews.

Rare, well let's just forget Rare is even out there :P

MS still gets attention from third parties to go multiplatform (Devil May Cry, Virtua Fighter, Final Fantasy and Tekken were all once exclusives if you recall) and most multi platform games with the exception of Fighters, Tomb Raider and a few others sell better on the 360.

I hardly feel MS is "doomed"

It's just that simple.

Lol, I think they'll survive without PGR and Halo after Reach is out. Its not like they don't have any other games on their system. The MS 1st party situation might not be the best right now but the 360 has by far received the best 3rd party support this gen next to the DS, which more than makes up for it.
