Maybe old news for some but a fan of FFVIII explains how Squall dies at the end of disc 1 and the rest of the games are his dream (or his final Fantasy).

I honestly don't buy it... and think it that was the indication. Square would of given some indication.

It's probably a better story then what they actually came up with though.

To me it's people who love a game trying to fill in the faults and plotholes of the game they love.

if he is alive Squall is dead inside, if he is dead he'd be well... dead, so whats the difference ? whining will still be whining.

Storywise you aren't missing much.

He was seriously emo. Heroes in RPGs defy the odds all the time, but I doubt such a little bitch as Squall would have had the fighting spirit needed to survive a mortal wound.

Plus, the Draw system is so tedious as to suck the very will to live out of pretty much anybody.

The more I think about it, the more plausible it seems.
