Little big planet
Jak and daxter
Uncharted
Ico
shadow of collossus
Ratchet and Clank

all come to mind with sony platformers , and sure 1 of then is from a 2nd party, but they still own the ip, not all of nintendo's first party is made by 1st party they also have 2nd party devs under hand.

Thats a very loose definition of a platformer. Shouldn't infamous be one as well?

yea you can count infamous, since it is a platformer, and sly cooper. There are probably alot more but I may not know of them. Also there are mario games with water guns like Super mario sunshine, doesn't mean it's not a platformer =P

Uncharted is a platformer/third person shooter in my eye, since it really focuses on platforming elements as well as TPS elements.

You've got to be kidding. Seriously, the games you classify as platformers. What were you thinking?

They are platformers.. just as much as MEGAMAN is a platformer..

Stop Leo.... Jak and Daxter( SONY's best) and LBP are the only games on that list that are real platformers rest just have platform elements but primarily other genres

I didn't really like ratchet and clank tools for destruction, or mario galaxy, BOTH HAD THOSE DAMN PLANETS THAT ARE globes. I HATE THOSE. The world is flat not round! :D Although I liked NSMB (besides including 2 toads lazy asses) and LBP
but I know im the minority.

little big planet has a paint gun

mario sunshine has a water gun

does that make it not a platformer :P

I make the best spagetti and cheese :p

You could also say Crash bandicoot 1-3 were proof of Sony's (Naughty Dog's) platformer ability.

I agree with this thread, but would also add in Sega, because of Sonic The Hedgehog, through to Sonic and Knuckles.

Sega CAN make a good platformer. Let's hope Sonic 4 is just as good as the original games!
