FFIX cutscenes are a lot better than VIII. Lots of explosions and awesome summons.

My favourite game of all time. Had a great story and characters and I enjoyed the battle system. Also some of the most epic tracks and CGI sequences. Have finished this game 3 times and I plan to do another playthrough in the not too distant future.

I think I already gave FF8 a 9.8/10 in darth's dedicated FF XIII thread to FF8, it's still my favourite FF story and character wise, ah the memories, btw Rinoa Rules!!

Bad points:

Main character, he's not cool, he's annoying, I kept wanting to bitch slap him. Draw system. Junction. GFs looked good but the sequances were WAY too long! Disliked to have to hunt for items to be able to upgrade the weapons. I found the game overall quite boring. Love story is flawed.

Good points:

Music. Good graphics and FMVs. Laguna (he's the only reason why I kept playing). Cool GFs.

It's very low on my played Final Fantasy list.
