Did they for the Wii? |
I think by the second half of the month they came to an end for the Wii.
As for FF13 360 > FF13 PS3 for the month, that would be disatrous and hilarious.

I'm going to go on a limb and say PS3 is probably overtracked this month, with the shortage it is very hard to get accurate predictions and I have a feeling the estimates were a little optimistic this month,,,( and at least in my areas those shortages don't look like they have been solved, they seem to have worsened as you can't even find a 250gb around here).
Alot of the analysts are saying the USA retail videogame market will be up for the next six months...I find that a bit hard to believe. Hardware will go up with more price cuts, but revenue won't as software growth doesn't tend to immediately follow the cuts and 2009 was actually fairly strong. DS had the 1m month, and all the rest.

It'll be up on easier comparisons. Though I'm unsure about software myself also, March should be strong but there aren't really big releases over the next few months compared to the same period last year, aside from on Wii.

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

I don't see that coming true at all either. All I see on the horizon are sequels, and those don't spur hardware for too long.
Nintendo may be up, from NSMB Wii, their lame 2009, and all that stuff, but I know for sure Sony has some empty spots in the next couple months, unless GT5 drops before years end. I don't see how MS can do anything but remain flat; Halo Reach can't cause tidal waves like that can it?
IDK, these consoles are showing some age, and the PSP especially is NOT helping anything in terms of growth. Large DS releases are slowing down too.........
