Forums - Nintendo - Monter Hunter 3: IGN UK review

Gee, a lot of you are a broken record. Hopefully this fad will die.

You baited people by saying "Shouldn't we be saying how much IGN sucks, or are we done with that?"

If you go into an IGN-related review thread and say that, be prepared for a reaction.

"9.0 Graphics
It's the most graphically ambitious game on the Wii by far; open environments and astonishing, detailed, frightening and enormously proportioned monsters push the console further than we've ever seen."

Then why only a 9? It seems like a 9.5 would have made more sense.

I know, I was just joking around. I didn't think people would actually be compelled to say how much IGN sucks.

At the end of the day, this just reminds me of the whole "Boycott Ubisoft" fad, and I wish it would go away. People are acting like every review IGN writes is biased and terrible, and it's not fair to the reviewers there that do a good job.

Well to be fair I think the majority of 'IGN sucks' comments that came after your post were meant to be humourous.

@CommonMan

I believe I described the parts of MH here, if you want to ready most of it, then go ahead.

The motivation to play the game is really the the rewards your imagination gives you.

The reward is the same as the reward you get for clearing a hard level in tetris.

Your reward is going to the next level and fighting even harder monsters off, in even harder requirements, like stealing the eggs of a Rathalon or Capturing a Deviljho.

Heck who wouldn't want to try to take down a massive target like Shen-Morhan.

It's called hunting... no Monster Hunting.

I'm Unamerica and you can too.

I like IGN's reviews, for the record, and this is a good score. What does the written review say, BTW?

Off topic, sort of: I played the demo, and I'm really torn now. Is there a motivation for me to go and kill these creatures? Are they attacking farms or people? Are they evil and part of a huge evil uprising? It felt to me like I was simply killing innocent creatures to make a bigger sword. I need a little more motivation than that because I'm a big softie and I ended up NOT killing the big dinosaur because it went back to it's nest to hide from me. I'm not trolling, I just honestly don't know.

It's simple: You want to be the very best monster hunter like no one ever was. To fight them is your real test, to hunt them is your cause.

Looks like they actually played the game and judged i fairly... not often that happens.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints
