i say hit

Around the Network

hit...at least on the long run.

2008 year end sales (made in January 2008):

44.2 M 27.1 M 20.8 M

I'd say a hit, although not a massive one. Certainly not 20 million by the end of next year...

I think its quite annoying you have to buy batteries to make the damn thing work, and they arent even rechargeable. Come on Nintendo, how hard is it to supply a power pack?

can the crow eating start? looks like it was quite well received in Japan.
We don't really know that yet. All we have is evidence from a few shops. It could turn out like when PS3 US price drop occurred and all the ps3 fans were going on about how it was number 1 on amazon sold out here, sold out there. Then NPD results came out and it didn't even outsell 360, let alone Wii, let alone having the 1,000,000% increase in sales we were led to believe had occurred.

I agree plus firts shipment seem to be around 300K units .

The next weekly report by Media Create will cover only 2 days because Wii Fit was launched on Saturday and not the usual thursday ...

Hit or Miss? Hmmmm I'll go another route. Flop. And badly at that.

Gamers inherently are lazy and do not enjoy exercise. And if they do, who would really want to be cooped up indoors when they can enjoy the wonderfulness of the outdoors, or at the least a Gym with multiple hotties working out?

I think that many of you are wearing your Nintendo colored bias glasses and it's making you believe that it truly is the best thing since those corn holders for corn on the cob.

Wii Fit will not make anyone fit at all. Wait for the lazy gamers who figure out a way to manipulate the game to where it's perceived that you are actually working out, but you are still on your fat butt just flicking your wrist away.

In it's lifetime, I'd be surprised to see wii fit hit even 750k units.

And those that point at Wii Sports and Wii Play, keep in mind that Wii Sports is bundled with the system in most places so of course that will have a high "sales" number because it's bundled. And for Wii Play, it's so high because of the controller that comes with it.

Wii Sports is not bundled in Japan and has been the #1 game by far in 2007.

Not by FAR, Monster Hunter Freedom isn't that far behind.

Good because MH3 will be coming to the Wii soon.

I think Wiifit will be a hit expecially in North America. Even if the board doesn't come out with another compatible game for it, it will still catch fire. I though can't wait for game like SSX to come out for it.

Good, because Monster Hunter Portable 2G will be coming to the PSP a lot sooner.
