Forums - Nintendo Discussion - IGN reviews Sakura Wars for Wii, and gives it a.....

IGN gives a 9 to Sakura Wars; So long, my love (Wii) considerating it n Outstanding game!!!

I'm really suprised to be true. i just not expected this... Every one is talking about MH3, Metroid, SMG2... but a 9 for this. has best rank that Red Steel, TatsunokoVs Capcom or No more heroes 2..

here ies the link...  http://wii.ign.com/articles/108/1081890p1.html

What do you think about that?

Around the Network

It's gotten poor reviews elsewhere.

The PS2 version is also superior. :(

Didn't Tatsunoko get a 9 from them?

Anyway it's a good score.

"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."

"The so-called "hardcore" gamer is a marketing brainwashed, innovation shunting, self-righteous idiot who pays videogame makers far too much money than what is delivered."

@GriffinA

Yes you are right, TvC has a 9 too. i did wrong ;)

anyone knows if there's any difference between the PS2 version & Wii version?

Yeah, the lack of dual language hurts.  Especially after hearing the english voice actress for Gemini Sunrise... ugh, I dunno if I can slog through that.

Sucks that NISA nerfed the Wii version.  I mean if they're going through so much trouble to port the game, why not go all the way?

Cool, may look into it.

Off topic. I think "Sakura" seems like a really popular word/name in gaming/manga/anime. What's up with that? I believe it means "Cherry Blossom", but does it have more implications than that to the Japanese?

People are calling this version nerfed.

Howso?

Lack of dual audio usually makes a version inferior to the other. At least, it would to me

Yeah but if that's all there is I wouldn't expected such a big stink. Gotta be more, right?

I think the only time it matters is Chaos Wars!
