i hope it doesn't get nerfed... noobs complain, and look what and some things did.
gameplay is perfect, but it's not run and gun, it's more strategic.
is KZ3 going to be about graphics? or gameplay? | |||

Will focus on both just as KZ2 did. Will be another amazing game experience in the FPS genre.

Jack Tretton confirmed it. It hasn't been "officially" announced. But he even said that it was in development. and if you even seen the end of Killzone 2. You would know that there HAS to be a part 3.
Graphics will continue to be great, For those who had a problem with gameplay, which I didn't, but maybe they will change a few things up. The bottom like is KZ3 will be AMAZING !! And for those who are saying its going to be around 2014, before KZ3 is released, really think about that statement, When they first started working on KZ2, they were building the engine, also they were waiting for the PS3 to come out, and waiting to know what type of power , and format, loke Bluray, or DVD, to know what they were working with, ounce all this came together, KZ came out rather quickly, This time around they already have the engine that they have tweaked a bit, and PS3 has been out for a few years so they know what they are dealing with. So look at the full picture before making statements you may want to retract.
Graphics will be updated a little, and still look amazing...
Gameplay will be "updated" a LOT. They will make it easier for the CoD crowd to get into.

Now that they set the standard for graphics this generation I think they realize that better game play will bring more sales than graphics alone. Still I believe the graphics will stay at the forefront as one of its biggest upsides. Considering how good Killzone 2 is I believe the KZ3 will only be better.

| Showertea said: Dude, no offense, but given their history in releasing Killzones, KZ3 probably won't be out until 2014 at the earliest (KZ1 released 2004, KZ2 demoed at E3 2005, KZ2 released 2009, KZ3 MAYBE demoed at E3 2010, KZ3 released 2014) That's a huge time to go in video game terms. 4 years ago everyone thought the Wii was going to be a distant 3rd place. For all we know, by 2014, all three console manufacturers will have gone bankrupt, and been replaced by Ubisoft's console, which only plays 'Just Dance'. Or maybe the FPS will be in decline as a genre, and Sony won't feel the need to push out 'Halo Killers'. It's a crazy world. KZ3 devs will need to push graphics, because KZ3 will be a PS4 title, and will be competing with Halo 5 and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 on the X-Box 720. That's my point, basically. |
You're clueless on to how development works, aren't you? Most of the development time was spent on the engine. Now that it's complete, KZ3 won't take nearly as long. Same with GT5. Once it releases, the engine will be complete and the devs will be more familiar with the hardware. Upgrading an engine doesn't take near as long as developing one.
OT: I think they'll push both. Hopefully they've learned their mistakes from KZ2.
Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!
Kojima: Come out with Project S already!
I think it'll be more like 20% graphics, 20% engine tweaks, 60% story and gameplay.
Killzone 2 was great imo and through that game Guerilla have been able to see what the games flaws were and what to add/improve for the next game.
Engine and tons of props and re-useable items have been made for KZ2 that can be ported straight into KZ3 with minimal tweaks. Since it was mainly story, originality and multiplayer issues that held the game back (co-op rather than lack of good multiplayer) the engine has proven good and should only need some updating to improve the graphics.
I think they'll update the graphics a little and add co-op, a longer story and more detailed multiplayer to the game and maybe suprise us with some new things not tried before in FPS's. Probably copy some of MW2s most successful moments. So a little graphics and engine upgrade and tons more game modes, story and gameplay additions.

They were pretty focused on gameplay with KZ2... on forums, people just talked about graphics.
