| Showertea said: Dude, no offense, but given their history in releasing Killzones, KZ3 probably won't be out until 2014 at the earliest (KZ1 released 2004, KZ2 demoed at E3 2005, KZ2 released 2009, KZ3 MAYBE demoed at E3 2010, KZ3 released 2014) That's a huge time to go in video game terms. 4 years ago everyone thought the Wii was going to be a distant 3rd place. For all we know, by 2014, all three console manufacturers will have gone bankrupt, and been replaced by Ubisoft's console, which only plays 'Just Dance'. Or maybe the FPS will be in decline as a genre, and Sony won't feel the need to push out 'Halo Killers'. It's a crazy world. KZ3 devs will need to push graphics, because KZ3 will be a PS4 title, and will be competing with Halo 5 and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 on the X-Box 720. That's my point, basically. |
You're clueless on to how development works, aren't you? Most of the development time was spent on the engine. Now that it's complete, KZ3 won't take nearly as long. Same with GT5. Once it releases, the engine will be complete and the devs will be more familiar with the hardware. Upgrading an engine doesn't take near as long as developing one.
OT: I think they'll push both. Hopefully they've learned their mistakes from KZ2.
Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!
Kojima: Come out with Project S already!
