The PS3 has been equal too,or selling slightly more than the 360 for a while in the USA I thought.
Not suprising. The PS3 is a better system, and at the same price the 360 can't compete, the only reason I believe the 360 has been successful in the USA is because it's made in the USA and they like to believe their things are better than other peoples.

And your reasoning is 100% wrong...

Lol, especially considering the 360 is made in Asia.

Calm down Yo_John117, I think he meant that 360 games library has been developed with the american gamer in mind. Therefore, the machine and its apps appeal stronger to US people.

I don't really think thats what he meant, but i'm just so sick of the anti-american crap, its getting on my nerves.

OMG... people, calm down... I think X360 has more FPS fans than PS3... as PS3 has more sports fan....

Madden NFL sells better on Xbox 360.

And guys...if the whole American thing was true...why was the PS2 ahead of every other console? Why is the Wii leading this gen?

You guys can search every single American home. I can guarantee you'll find at least one Japanese made product.

He may well be right (worldwide of course.)

Football games sell very well on the PS3.

Pro Evo 2010 sold 1.36 million more on the PS3 then 360.

Fifa 10 sold 710k more on the PS3.

While, Madden, despite being sold in a region with a 9 million advantage to the 360, sold only 490k more.

There may well be more sports fans with PS3's.

I'm very hungover right now so I'm not going to study all the numbers, but I'll get around to it. It's an interesting observation by Kibebr.

If the PS3 exclusive ad campaign in America helps Madden NFL 11 outsell the 360, I'll definitely concede.

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

More PS3's in stock I guess.

Who's the best Pac, Nas, and Big. Just leave it to that.

that's your choice whether or not you agree with me on it,I just have very little faith in the way people in the USA think.

First off what is that supossed to mean?!?!

Second how do you explain how PS1 and 2 dominated in america, and how the Wii is dominating now?  or how Toyota is the one of the most popular vehicles in the USA.  And there are plenty more examples like that.

Americans buy whatever is the best, not whatever is strictly American made.

To Jed ur right i agree with ur statement and i live in the US and at yo_john i can explain for u .... When the PS1 and PS2 came out there was no hardware company that was in the US that made a game system like SONY, NINTENDO, and SEGA. and then when the X-box came out it was the only console that was from America, and look at the sales for it the vast Majority came from America. And by the time the XBOX came out the PS2 was 20 million units ahead of it. So if the only sales of the xbox were in america then yea i would say that americans buy it because it is an american product.

Oh and Toyota is the Best selling car manufacturer in america .... cant find the link for this but im a 100% sure of this. And all the toyotas that are sold in america are made in america by americans.

And no Americans mostly try and buy ameerican products because that appearently helps boost our economy.

but nice point that was brought up. :)

the ps3 may eventually pass 360 world wide but it doesnt even have a shot to pass it in america. ps3 sells about 3.85 million units in america a year. thats 13.46 divided by 3.5(been on the market for almost 3.5 years), it would take 2.3 years for ps3 to pass 360 if MS stoped making 360's. and that doesnt even acount for console sales slipping which they should by next year.

also do i think 360 is in the lead in america because americans like to buy american products absolutly not. americans(including me) like shooters and WRPG's. and 360 has more and better games in those catigorys then ps3. example look at halo 3 its sold like 7.5 million in america.

Halo MCC will sell 5+ million copies(including digital)

halo 5 will sell 10 million copies(including digital)

x1 will pass ps4 in USA, and UK.

Or is it simply classed as the "best" because Americans buy it in bulk?

I would have to agree with Jedidiah, Americans have some odd shopping habits, so does about 50% of the UK from the look of things, but hell I don't have a problem with it, I love Americans and that's a rare thing these days!
