I would love to know what he likes about the PS3, he is allways spewing poison on anything not Xbox, so his statement has little value.

In this instance everyone agrees. It's like using your phone for internet. It's a bumbling shocking mess. Apps are the way to go. Both Apple and M$ realised this years ago.

The 360 doesn't do Apps, and the iPhone has a pretty good browser... so I don't really see a reason to mix Apple with MS here.

Um, yeah the 360 does apps. What do you think the tailor made apps for Facebook, Twitter, LastFM, Zune Marketplace etc are. We know there are more apps coming for the social stuff the net has to offer. Sky player is another great streamlined app. In fact I wish Sky HD's menu system was like the 360's. It's so much better. And Iphone yes has a browser, but the apps are where it's at. ou can either use the net on Iphone to view Youtube, or use the Iphone Youtube app ( which is 10 times better. )

If by apps you mean just a few hardcoded ones offered by MS, yes. That's an entirely different thing from the iPhone way, which is that everyone can develop an app to let people access their services.

Let me put my point in a simpler way... with the 360, you're on a closed system which only lets you do what MS wants you to do. With the iPhone, you can do pretty much whatever you want.

Oh I understand that. But my point was where a mouse and keyboard doesnt exist, Sony would be far more better to produce Apps, like M$ are. For example, someone made a point about using PS3 browser to get guides if yor stuck on a game. Clumsy, and awkward. Whereas M$ are introducing an App for any Xbox Live member to right there own guides and cheats of which can be accessed through the Guide button. The difference is a tailored made experience with much better implementation for the product you have purchased. After all the internet as is was always designed for a mouse and keyboard.

just get a wireless keypad and everything is fine. with keypad you can quickly type and scroll. I just wish the buttons on the keypad can glow so i can see what i'm typing in the dark.

Why Even bother? A Keyboard and mouse on a PC or laptop will do all those things.

LOL..

Don't get this shit. Why even bother using the shitty ps3 web browser if you can just have a laptop right near you?

C'os not everyone has a laptop? For some it might be the choice between browsing on PS3 on going into another room to turn on PC and open web browser.

However, I agree in principle. I use my desktop as it's in the same room as my PS3.

why should i turn on my PC when my PS3 is already turned on??? If my PS3 and PC were turned on, then i would use PC for internet. But i like to play games, watch movies and go online all on 1 console, so PS3>>>PC IMO

I have my PC setup to my tv through HDMI, I only use it for watching movies, browsing on a big screen kinda sucks, either every thing is too small or everything is too large and looks pixelated.

Id rather have the disappointing browser over nothing at all. Stupid jack ass.

Overreaction much?

I just get tired of this guy. Every single thing that comes out of his mouth is just B.S.

For once I wish he would just STFU or be a civil PR.

Well actually, he is pretty dead on. Apps are the way to go. Thats where the R&D should be spent and used. Of course hes a PR guy, at least he said there was lots he liked about the PS3. Unlike the recent scared bashings of Natal from Sony.

the browser isnt bad at all, since it uses Web Kits, just needs updating to support Flash 10.1.
