Wasn't Wii supposed to be in decline? For three of the last four weeks it's been up YoY worldwide, and in the latest week it's up in every region. It's been trending this way since some time in February, but now it's finally up YoY and it looks like it will be for the next few months.

So what happened? If the casual bubble has burst, why are we seeing Wii growth again? Is vgchartz wrong? Should we wait for NPD?

I don't think it's really that significant - yet. New Super Mairo Bros. has done a lot.

But we're coming up on the end of the first calendar quarter, aren't we? Things are going to start heating up soon - if it can't do better this summer than it did last summer, especially given th stronger software lineup, I think we can say it might be in decline.

The wii wasn't really in a decline last year. It only went down by 5%

Also after looking at previous years. The wii has more system sellers this year than last year and 2008

You put way too much stock in price cuts. Let's not forget what you've predicted about price cuts in the past.

Wii was down YoY in Feb in others, yet is up in March. Both were post price cut. So why is it up YoY now when it wasn't at a time not long after a price cut?

Very significant in that many of the doom predicters have only had the yoy % argument in their favor, now no longer. I expect it to remain this way until the holidays most notably December..I mean come on..it sold about as much in 1 month than PS3 sold in the entire year, that's just insane. But other than that it should be up..I also feel it will have another 20m+ year.

This is gonna be one of Wii's best years. Mario/Metroid/Zelda plus mistery casual game at e3 plus lots of excelent games.

Depending on that casual game, it could be wii's peak year, even better than 2008.
