Never played the original, but I heard mixed reviews on it. Still glad to hear there's a sequel. Hopefully they'll address any issues with the first like Red Steel 2 did with its predecessor.
Yes, i'm excited now hopefully its one zillion times better than the first one cause the first one disappointed me.

main thing I didn't like about the game was that it was very linear and also there were (are) too many cheaters online - it's no fun when a person has infinite rocker launchers ammo and invincibility

HVS has a history of including tons of features when announcing a title then not meeting most of them in the final release (see The Conduit, Gladiator AD, The Grinder).
The Conduit 2 certainly sounds very good on paper but I'll reserver my judgement until I see some gameplay footage. Also, it sounds like they put some ideas for The Grinder into this title now.
