I personally favor the Barrioth armor set for its good defense and fantastic Evade+2 ability.  Barrioth+ is supposed to add Evade Plus on its own, which would free up the slots I'm currently using to get that.  It's also got cold-resistance.  The only problem is its susceptible to fire, but with that evasion ability I equip it during volcano missions anyways.

Finally hit HR31 last night! I'll play my first high rank mission tonight, can't wait to upgrade my stuff (it's been way too long). I've been on a nice no-death streak recently, I basically never die unless I get cornered on a wall or something, and the camera work gets confusing - with the monster up in your face blocking your view, and having nowhere to run after being stunned, ugh...

By the way, what sort of weapon / skills do you guys use? Currently I'm wearing Baggi armor with Ura boots, for Focus and Capture Expert, and I usually gem Perception (I'm hooked on this skill, immediate capture when low), Attack(M) when it isn't needed. In the end I'll probably go for Crit Draw with Focus, though I've been having trouble getting any Majestic Horns from Diablos. All with a Great Sword of course, the Wyvern Jawblade.

Gah, can't wait to play more later. Looking at my weapon upgrade selection, the upgrades that await me (just from 4* quests) are pretty crazy, though most require pretty rare drops. Not looking forward to that last bit...

Question!!

Will i ever run into a scenario where I 'miss' sighting a monster or something of the sought, and would never encounter it again? In other words, are there any monsters where you only have one (or two) chances to fight it? Just asking in general.

Only in events, blunty but even then you just have to wait for the event to happen again. Capcom said they would cycle through events so everyone gets a chance eventually.

Barroth. Not too bad, but not especially easy, either. Mostly i'm having trouble with his rampages, as i've got him covered otherwise, most of the damage coming from me being too aggressive, or those damned Bnahabra/Epioth and their debuffs.

omg i ran into the nicese ppl i played with as of yet and i though they added me to there firends list but they did not show up i wander what happen.... Also i was at the very end of a fight and dc this is how i lost them i am kind of sad now....

got a good group tonight, we ran all the 3 star missions, none of them taking more than 20 min (the Ratholos capture might have taken 30)
