there is just one word I can say of this game: overrated

It is so boring imo, it is slow, the controls are really irresponsive and I totally wasted 50 dollars.

Can you expand on your opinions with examples and details. I just find unfinished posts annoying.  Besides maybe somebody can help if it is the learning curve that you have a problem with. As for the controls, I've never experienced irresponsiveness, but I would like to see how that is the case for somebody else from a different perspective.

the gameplay (to me) feels too broken. The game is just too repetetive and the graphics arent really the best of the sistem. Heck, Pop: TFS looks way better, and doesnt have those graphical erros nor invissible walls.

The combat is too boring and frustrting, the weapons feel useless and the character feels too slow and foolish

Glad to hear you finally took down rathalos. He isn't hard just a pain because of how much time in the air he spends.  I'll probably try to get on sometime tonight. I'd like to do some high rank quest like 4* and 5* so I can move on.

I can feel where you're coming from on that. The drag on time that it takes to do things is too... realistic. Makes it incredibly hard to heal or use items mid-battle  (for everything except Sword and Shield). The problem isn't that you have to dequip your weapons, but that it takes so long to dequip and re-equip them. Actions require too much commitment for safety, in many cases

I guess it is a matter of preference here. The realism of the weapons is one of the high points for Monster Hunter in my opinion. They've improved the controls a lot though, if you compare it to the PSP Monster Hunters, which I'm sure you would dread from the description you've given. Maybe you could try being a gunner or using the sword and shield, both of which are much faster. The lance is also good for pulling off fast combos. Great Sword, Switch Axe and to a much lesser extent -- Hammers ---  are definitely not what you would want to try, they are too slow overall, and Long Sword doesn't have much control, although it is fast. As for the grinding aspect, that is a hit or miss for everybody. The game does have a lot of grinding, and ironically that is another aspect I like about it, you have to work to build up the weapons, although sometimes the work takes forever. Anyway, like you've said, the game isn't for everybody, and it is strictly for a group of specific niches.

yes, I could only stand lances and small swords.

And its not the game's fault, its me. I borrowed it to my cousin, and he loved it

Woop, that was an overreaction, especially given how painfully easy Barioth turned out to be with just a little patience.

Cha-Cha definitely helped, though, because Barioth is a lot like his name-alike Barroth in how he focuses his attacks. Having another body there to distract him is invaluable, and Barioth is pretty much helpless if you're behind him.

I...I don't remember no more.  39, I think, although I hadn't done all the missions needed to trigger the next Urgent Quest.

Damn. You acted like i was catching up to you at one point, but i guess i dawdled too much against Rathalos (and Deko, but that's a separate struggle), and am still 13 below that.
