there is just one word I can say of this game: overrated

It is so boring imo, it is slow, the controls are really irresponsive and I totally wasted 50 dollars.

As a guy in a review said: if you arent a fan substract 4 points from the score (7)

Can you expand on your opinions with examples and details. I just find unfinished posts annoying.  Besides maybe somebody can help if it is the learning curve that you have a problem with. As for the controls, I've never experienced irresponsiveness, but I would like to see how that is the case for somebody else from a different perspective.

The combat is too boring and frustrting, the weapons feel useless and the character feels too slow and foolish

I guess it is a matter of preference here. The realism of the weapons is one of the high points for Monster Hunter in my opinion. They've improved the controls a lot though, if you compare it to the PSP Monster Hunters, which I'm sure you would dread from the description you've given. Maybe you could try being a gunner or using the sword and shield, both of which are much faster. The lance is also good for pulling off fast combos. Great Sword, Switch Axe and to a much lesser extent -- Hammers ---  are definitely not what you would want to try, they are too slow overall, and Long Sword doesn't have much control, although it is fast. As for the grinding aspect, that is a hit or miss for everybody. The game does have a lot of grinding, and ironically that is another aspect I like about it, you have to work to build up the weapons, although sometimes the work takes forever. Anyway, like you've said, the game isn't for everybody, and it is strictly for a group of specific niches.
