Damn, I've been away for too long (Demon's Souls is as addicting as this game!!!).

I might be on later this week. Is the Sharq quest the one that gives Sharq tickets for the Sharq Lance?

Yes it is. I found once a party of 3 experienced guy, with hammer / great sword. I had paralykeet, to kill the shark in one hit. After clearing the area of its first set of sharks, just wait for them to come them from one direction and chain them.

I also manage to solo the quest using this method and evasive manoeuvring the Royal Ludroth. Some Armorskin helped great also. I just need Ludroth coins to complete the materials to complete the Lance ^^.

Sharq Attack. w00t.

Only really useful against things with water weaknesses, though. It's attack is way too low for how hard it was to obtain, but its got insane water affinity that more than makes up for it, if they have the weakness...

Plus, it looks F#@$-ing awesome!  Try crouching, then slowly circling your victim, especially at the surface of the water...

I haven't had a chance to. Fought Barroth with it, then Rathalos (though Rathalos isn't quite as good for it)

Does crouching make you hard to see or something? I tried crouching once to sneak up on something (Great Jaggi?) and it did not seem to do anything. It saw me right off.

In the absence of evidence to the contrary, always assume you have the upper hand.

It may very well alter hit detection, though i've never really taken the risk to put it through its paces, but i bet you could use it to dodge stuff like Barroth's tail swipe, at least, though it only works standing still and unequipped, so its probably very diffucult for combat applications.

I am progressing really slowly lately. In fact I am dreading getting to my 5* urgent and having to face altareon. He sounds brutal. People have been saying that he easily wall locks you. He also flys around. Hopefully he isn't too bad, but I am having more fun doing event quest and such then actually working on my key quest.

Shmup, khan, you guys gonna be able to make it tomorrow. I will remember to not make it high rank.

As near as I can tell, crouching does nothing.

I'm getting on, anyone up?

Crouching does seem to hide you to some point. If I stand the monster sees me. If I crouch I am free to continue what I am doing. Also you can use smoke bombs to disappear.

I am on now if Khan or Shmup would like to join me.
