I've been playing a few hours a day this week, and I have not find any party able to kill the diablos. All my attempt just failed miserably offline, and online aswell. It's just unbeatable, period.

Post an embarrassing rant about it, then it should fold quite neatly. That's how it seems to work for me; it won't go until i rage about it publicly. :/

Hey, relative Monster Hunter newbie here. Any tips on hunting a Barroth? I need to kill one so I can get more quests, but my last attempt ended in failure, and I'm pretty sure he wasn't injured to the point of limping yet.

First u need a negate mud/snow armor skill. With it, you won't be covered in mud when he does it mud attacks You cans :

- Either use the full rhenoplos armor

- Use whatever combination u prefer but make sure u have a talisman with negate mud/snow and the correct decoration so that the sum of all negate mud/snow is more than ten => then u got the skill

- I had a lot of problem with this one, then I tried using Sword and Shield. Barroth covers in mud, when mudded, he is weak to water element. When you slash him ebough, the mud goes off and then he is more weak to fire. 

- try to bring a few traps 

Imho the best thing is to go around him, then wait for an oppening to give him a few slashes, then get off its way, repeat operation. It's easy to write, but u have to do it a few time before timing perfectly its attacks.

If you're in North America, and will be on tomorrow night, sure!

Very much depends on the weapon set. Lance is helpful because you can get him to come right to you without getting hurt in the process. The best time to hit him is when he shakes a lot of mud off, and then get underneath (where the mud can't follow, though hit detection in this game is wonky), and whale away. With other weapons a hit-and-run strategy might be more appropriate.

Yes, now I have the full rathalos armor maxed out. I have negate the defense low skill and added trap master skill. What is your rathalos armor configuration ?
