"According to long-running Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu, the console with the best overall line-up of games isn't a celebrated classic like the SNES, the Sega Dreamcast or the Atari 2600 -- it's the Playstation 3.
Famitsu ranked the consoles according to the number of "Gold"-rated games they received, an award which corresponds to a review score of 32/40 or better. The Playstation 3 achieved a rate of 45%, corresponding to 77 golds out of a total of 171 reviewed games, while the Xbox 360 came a close second with 43%. The Wii placed further down the table at eighth place.
Even in the handheld market -- where Sony has been struggling of late -- the PSP came out on top: it placed fourth, just behind the Gamecube, and ahead of all the other portable consoles on the list. Bringing up the rear was the Sega Game Gear, an early 90s portable machine, which achieved a total of no gold-rated games whatsoever. "
From a diversuity perspective, considerring the fact that niche & casual games almost never get awesome reviews, I personally think that should go to either the PS2 or the DS. What do u guys think? Looking at the current library, don't include Move in ur calculations cuz its not out yet.
