Its not evil, its revenge. He served the gods for how many years? ARES forced him to kill his family, and tortured his soul just because he needed help from him to fight in a war. Imagine having your wife's and daughter's ashes permenately forced onto your body turning you into this horrible looking ghost like man, and then having chains melted to your arms.. Then you ask the gods for help, and you save them from an eternal slumber to there deaths, and kill the god of war to free the world of war.. and they dont keep there promise that if you served them, they would relieve you of those nightmares, hell he tried to kill himself, and the gods didn't let him. Then they decide, you know what, lets just kill him and sent him to hades for eternal torture for killing the god of war, he's too "dangerous".
