Oh I never noticed the 123, but most of them are connected to the hostess bar also 101.... I thought it was 100 total, but still it isn't like the completely destroyed the story, and the environment. (Unless you really care about hostess bar, which some people do.)

I believe Mahjong is still in the game, just not trophy anymore. You shouldn't say that because of the cut content they shouldn't bother bringing Yakuza 4 overhere, it is still a good game.

Bu they didn't rebalance the game, just cut.  This means they've automatically upped the mandatory grinding ratio from what I understand.

And I should specifiy, I don;'t think SEGA should bother.  I also think it's a golden opportunity for someone else like Atlus or Ignition...

Than I totally agree, Atlus or Ignition should totally handle it.

- Figures provided by ASCII Media Works/Dengeki

Torne sold 62,000 units during its first week. The standalone accounted for 75% of sales, while the digi recorder pack took up the remaining 25%. PS3 hardware sales increased 69.5% from the previous week to 45,000 units.

Woah, excellent hardware sales!  PS3 may actually be ahead of DS and PSP even this week!

Also, given the bundled Torne sales (~15,500) it's looks like it's basically entirely responsible for PS3's hardware boost... Y4 did almost nothing. :/

Assuming the 45K is correct and 25% of 62K for the Torne bundle is correct: 45K-15.5K = 29.5K. 29.5K-26.5K (last week's J number) = 3K. 3K = +11% boost over previous week. For the most part sequels to existing franchises on a console give HW boosts of 10-15%. So the non-Torne related boost of 11% should probably be seen as reasonable for Y4 launch week; or at least not passed off as almost nothing.

MC Hardware

PS3 – 50,164
PSP – 38,017
Wii – 31,101
DSi LL – 20,765
DSi – 14,256
DS Lite – 3,953
Xbox 360 – 2,419
PS2 – 1,711
PSP go – 1,491

Wow, PS3 #1! And even higher than that other article had it at. I had a feeling it would break 50k when I heard that Yakuza 4 had it's best opening week in the series and that Torne had sold out.

good PS3 hardware.. I expected 50k or higher, TORNE is a hardware pusher, YAKUZA4 also improved the PS3s imagine over there.

PSP doing better than DS too, another one of those rare moments when SONY does better than nintendo in both console and handheld sales.

DS breaks 40K compared to sub 40K like before. Wii over 30K again.

Buying in 2015: Captain toad: treasure tracker,

mario maker

new 3ds

yoshi woolly world

zelda U

majora's mask 3d

Damn those HW numbers should really open Nintendo's eyes. Hopefully they will reconsider come the new FY which starts in 2 weeks.-

On the handheld side PSP = 39.5K ; DS = 39K ---> 500 units difference
Consoles PS3 = 50K ; Wii = 31K ---> 19K units difference

PS2 will be dead before years end, and 360 just stays afloat.

Bets with Conegamer:

Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.

Fullfilled Prophecies

Holy cannoli @ PS3 sales

And perhaps even crazier, Wii sales seem to be unhurt by the huge bump, despite the Wii getting no big releases this week. Can it be that the two consoles have so little effect on each other?
