8.0 Presentation
An intriguing story and fantastic atmosphere are among the game's greatest strengths.
8.0 Graphics
The environments of Metro 2033 are very impressive, but the character models and animations leave something to be desired.
7.5 Sound
The music is more ambient than anything else. Voice acting is okay, though the inclusion of the Russian voice track is great.
6.5 Gameplay
Intriguing mechanics, like ammo conservation and post-apocalyptic gadgets, make Metro 2033 fun. But frustrating stealth sections, vague gameplay rules and plenty of glitches don't help.
7.0 Lasting Appeal
There's a fair amount of replay value here, especially when it comes to appreciating the atmosphere, but the above issues will remain.

Well considering they gave Deadly Premonition a 2.0. I'll probably love this game as well.

Disappointing, but not very surprising. On the other hand Game Informer gave the game a 9, and the text of their review painted a rather nice picture of the game.

I'll probably end up getting it on Steam eventually. The environments and general atmosphere are quite alluring.

This is a PC title for me. I seem to remember STALKER getting harsh reviews as well, reviewers simply seem to loathe shooters that don't follow the norm and "behave" like the CoD series for instance.
Too bad for them, they're missing out imo and I still think I'm gonna love this game!

It all sounds very positive in the summary, almost like Bioshock goes to Russia, and then the final score is only 6.9?

Who cares about some glitches! This game sounds awesome.

it's by far one of the best atmospheric games in years. beating bioshock 2 by far, hell after playing the game for hours and going too sleep I couldn't stop dreaming about it and I woke up thinking i was living in that world. Oh and I played the PC version which has none of the problems on 360.

Uhhh... I don't remember any hype for this game. I'm surprised THQ didn't put some more advertising behind this game.

This game has mostly received good scores though. MetaCritic average is 81. So I'm definitely gonna check it out.
