Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo fans- We need to talk

I just don't understand the negativity of it all...no one's aloud to talk about the positives without someone shooting it down and making them feel dumb for mentioning anything....highly constructive, it seems (Sarcasm).

Just waiting for that PS Vita to come out so I can play some full featured games on the go with that beautiful screen and control scheme...

Very well said, man. No wonder you have a great rep on these forums.

I was astounded by all the comments coming from Nintendo fans that denounce the competition. Being a long-time Nintendo fan myself, I'm ashamed.

The gaming industry won't grow without competition.

Edit: And I can understand the frustration of 3 years of shit from HD fanboys dissing motion controls, but two wrongs don't make a right. Never have I commended the attacks on the Wii and its game library. But I'm not going to speak ill of the competition just as a means of getting back at their trash-talk.

Now as for Move being a complete rip-off: It needs software that makes creative use of the glowing ball and good implementation of the eyetoy.

If Sony can pull that off, the rip-off claims should hopefully be silenced and people can be happy.

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

I tend to avoid such pettiness, thankfully. I hope you got some people to open their eyes and stop being childish.

*sits down at table*

Hello amp316, and thanks for making this thread.

Over the past few days, I myself have partaken in the discussion battle over the Move, the Wii, and other such things. Now, unlike other users on the the Nintendo side of things (that unfortunately resorted to cheap shots) I only commented on the hypocrisy of the situation, and nothing else.

I honestly did not care about the other specifics of the case (who came first, what patent came when, etc). Some N-fans might have gone overboard, but such backlash is not so surprising to see. We saw bashing from Ninty fans for the past 3 1/2 days, in response to what they have been given for.... 3 1/2 years. Now that the Move discussion is done with, I hope people can go* on and take the high road if it ever comes up again.

However, if PR from either company gets out hand, all bets are off lol

*I didn't want to say 'move' at the risk of an intended pun

noone gets to have fun afterall we've been through?

that's no fun.. i guess it's good though because then the companies making the mistakes won't get a clue until it's too late.

I never said that I wouldn't have any fun.  I am all about goofing off as my post history will show.

Throwing around insults isn't constructive though.

i was one of those people lol, not in these forums but elsewhere lol... its not that sonys wand, arc, Move or whatever they like to call it looks like a wii controller, its that they took 3 years to realise that its a great idea instead of calling it a fad and a gimmick

i feel that there is alot of defensive rage coming from the sony fan collective, especially here: http://news.vgchartz.com/news.php?id=7419&mp=1
pretty big flame war anyhow.

i'm not completley against poking fun at sonys new controller, as it makes for entertaining threads. I mean, this is the internet after all.

I don't think it is tbh, If sony make money on ripping off the wiimote then all it's going to do is lead to more half-assed rip offs in the future (it's like the hardware equivilent of shovelware).I can see why nintendo fans are upset because nintendo have had an awesome idea and have been very original and now sony are just trying to ride off the back of it and make a few quick bucks, However as other people have said it should be kept too one thread and I think people need to be more clear headed about things.
