You sure the signal to the tv isnt glitching? I mean, so that the PS3 is actually just on as normal, but the TV dosent find the signal?

Or are you sure the PS3 is just black? In that case.. just pull the plug on it.

on another note twesterm, why do your PS3's always have some problem with them......its just like how there's ALWAYS a hair in my food that I order in restaurants!

I held my finger on the button for a minute and nothing happened.

well your only choice is to unplug it, if that doesnt work, then your ps3 is possessed

Hmm, think it might have something to do with my logitech harmony remote adapter.

I unplugged it and then turned it back on to make sure everything was good and all seemed alright. I used my remote to turn it off...and the same thing happened. I got up and pressed the power button, it beeped, and then the green light kept blinking. I held down the power button and still nothing. I finally unplugged it again.

After plugging it back in I turned the PS3 on and then used the Dualshock 3 to turn it off and it turned off just fine.

aha so the Slim doesn't have a power switch !
