bet with Mordred11 that Rage will look better on Xbox 360.

Edit - I should elaborate, whilst bigger install base is a factor (Gears 1 - 2 was a 15 mill jump, Halo 3 - Reach is a 30 mill jump) it helps first week sales more than lifetime.

Gears 2 didn't have the legs of it's predeccessor, and that could be the story for Reach as well. My personal opinion is it won't. But .... a bigger install base is only going to contribuit towards first week/month sales rather than Lifetime.

I'll make it simple. It won't outsell Halo 3.

It doesn't matter how much stuff you are writing, predictions or whatever. It won't happen.

I remember when X360 fans were saying the same thing for Halo 3 OSDT and after seeing the sales, they changed their mind and end up saying it was JUST an expansion.

It will still sell millions.

I'll make a prediction, if it doesn't oversell Halo 3, what are X360 fans going to say? "It's just a prequel"

And if that happens, I bet no X360 fans will apologize to us for being so rock-head and attaking us so hard. If it oversells Halo 3, I'll do it, that's for sure.

Well, if you wanna get technical. I have Halo 3 used, so when I buy Halo: Reach first day, I will be included in those figures whereas I'm not in Halo 3's. Also, Halo 2 > Halo 1. Just because Microsoft has a lot of Halo games does not mean everyone who could possibly be interested in Halo has already bought them.


I am with you, i bought an used Halo 3, but i'm going to buy Reach.

There is so much wrong with this post. 

Not your prediction. Your entitled to that. But your reasonings are horrible. 

Noone here expected ODST to outsell Halo 3. It was commonly known before hand that it was an expansion just like Ep 1 from Half Life 2.

It will outsell Halo 3. The beta had over a million more unique users than Halo 3, and Reach releases with a 360s bundle. 

Reach will sell more than Halo 3 on opening and in Lifetime.

Halo 3 was release before cod became big but now cod is huge and as stoled some of the halo series thunder so I don't see it do much better then halo 3 even with the bigger install base



Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

Average prediction for ODST was around 5 million
