You left out the next paragraph on Move:

Move's hardware is more than competent and there's certainly a lot of potential, but most of it remained untapped at the event. This opinion is seconded by the developer, which is working closely with the device. They tell me that they believe it will ultimately outperform the Wii remote in responsiveness and say that their own tests are already proving that true. I ask if there is the kind of lag I experienced at Sony's demo and they say no, that it's very fast and reliable when programmed correctly. They add that it still has some calibration issues like the Wii remote, but that it's still an improvement.

It sounds like the software is just not ready to be shown yet. Honestly, I think they should've waited and showed it off with games people care about as well as games that have actually had enough time in the oven to show off the controls properly.

Hopefully we'll finally see Ape Escape 4 at E3, and it'll show off the controls in a nice way.

This is why I love you (not literally, but like...a good friend). You can silence the haters without going overboard like I sometimes do. Anyways, I'm excited for Move. For a lot of the Nintendo fans hating on it, calling it a rip-off (and trolling endlessly without check), just remember that this is the closest thing you've going to get to a potential Wii HD for several years. Maybe it's worth it to stop the trolling for a bit and take a second loo

. While I myself hope Move is successfull for many reasons I have put on other post. If I cared about HD type games I would have already gotten a PS3 or a Xbox. As nice as it might look I just am not worried about it. Plus, the systems in which these newer techs are on do not have one etremely important thing. Nintendo made games. If they put it on some good games not the same type I can play on my Wii thier is a chance I might pick one up. But, so far all we have seen is teh same stuff just different graphics. While Move is done differently it is still only doing the same things. People are going to think hm that seems a bit like a rip off of Wii unless they use it in different ways. This is one thing Sony will have to overcome Hopefully this will change and light some more creative fire under Nintendo and Sony both.

I find it funny how these giant companies are struggling to match something Nintendo released 4 years ago.

To the people saying Sony and MS have time to make Move and Natal better, they most likely don't. The hardware specs are probably set in stone, the SDKs have been sent out to developers and games are already being developed for it. They are not going to make changes on the HW now.

If you guys are talking about making the software better and more smooth, then I of course agree, there's plenty of time for that.

Stop being such a sackfan.

Move hype took it over, natal was demoed in feb

i am surprised this on cnet, lol this is my favourite sentance

"We tried several games using the main Move controller (see the video above), and the experience was generally very close to what we're used to from the Nintendo Wii, albeit with a much greater sense of precision--even better than using the Wii Motion Plus. There was much less of the jittery movement to the onscreen cursor we're used to from the Wii."

So basically move is just like wimote, with wii motion plus with even more precison

Jittery movement? Not on well-made games.

Yes.

That's all believable, Natal has had problems whenever it's been shown and those showings have been very controlled.. The PS Move is not even out yet so of course it's going to have some issues and Wii 2 being on target for 2012 right now is obvious. Doesn't mean it won't be delayed if the Wii is still strong and the others haven't jumped yet.

Jittery movement is actually perfectly precise. Your wrist isn't perfectly stable, even if you rest it on your knee, it will always have a slight tremor. Wii games with a smoth cursor achieve it by applying a smoothing algorithm to compensate for human jitters, and they usually introduce a certain amount of lag as the software decides whether you're actually trying to move or just trembling.

So a non-jittering Move cursor either means that it isn't precise enough to detect human jitters, or that it has a smoothing algorithm just like many Wii games (likely, and a poor algorithm could explain complaints of lag with the Move's pointer).

And of course, Cnet's writer is too ignorant to know that Wii MotionPlus has piss-all to do with pointer functionality.

maybe i should have bolded "the experience was generally very close to what we're used to from the Nintendo Wii, albeit with a much greater sense of precision--even better than using the Wii Motion Plus" part lol, i was going on about the Jittery movement, but I am sure it can be tweaked to have that feature it you want it to, lol

it's the future of handheld

PS VITA = LIFE

The official Vita thread http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=130023&page=1

Natal has problem recognizing dark objects... well since Natal and PS Eye technology is quiete similar, you'd think they would know why is Sony using high contrast glowing balls... I can imagine to use Natal at home, you will need something similar to Mo-Cap suit :)

MY HYPE LIST: 1) Gran Turismo 5; 2) Civilization V; 3) Starcraft II; 4) The Last Guardian; 5) Metal Gear Solid: Rising

LOL you gotta be kidding me with that Milo presentation.
