PS3 fanboys; you guys really need to cool it down with all this wishful thinking.

PS3 is in third place. Deal with it. Accept it. Stop trying to justify how it will magically start selling amazing all of a sudden. The ps3 will simply not sell as well as the PS2, or at a similar rate. It cannot. The Wii has sold @ better and faster rates than the PS2. How the hell is the PS3 gonna overtake that?

Sure the slim re-juvenated the PS3's sales, but that has turned out to be more if an equalizer than anything.

Also the PS3 has already had all its big guns released. As far as GoW3? As far as Im concerned, people who want this game have already bought a PS3. The biggest gun the system now has is Gran Turismo 5.

Stop all of this stupid numbers stuff where you wish the ps3 could come out and destroy the competition.

The PS3 probably has the best software lineup, in my eyes, out of all the systems currently on the market, so stop all this stupid wishy wanty stuff, come back to reality, and enjoy the games. At the very least you can be happy GoW 3, Uncharted, Killzone, etc... are all on Sony's system.


PS. GoW3 is my most anticipated game. So dont think im just dissing PS3; Im not, I love the system a lot, one of my fav's ever. Im just dissing the fan boys who have their head so far up Sony's ass they can't see the light of reality anymore.

Christ, even I can only see PS3 doing 75-100 million in sales at either extreme, but 127m? Sorry, I don't see Arc pushing the PS3 to those numbers, cuz that's the only way it could.

  It is not cost effective to keep something on the market if it isn't selling. The PS2 is still on the market because it sells not because Sony have kept it available.

Thirdly, how many of the people in this thread said PS3 was going to die? Can you produce evidence of this claim or are you generalising a few people's statements to represent every member of this thread's views?

how do consumers decide if the ps3 lasts 10 years? only sony decide when that happens. if they keep supporting the ps3 for 10 years then consumers will keep buying it.

you should have been around in 2007 and 2008. ps3 was getting so much stick. people were doubting if it would even hit 30 million. honestly! lets face it. we dont know what gonna happen this gen. its too unpredictable.

read it man, the analyist is saying the ps3 is gonna sell long after the wii is already dead. of course the ps3 will never overtake it any other way but you think the wii's gonna last longer than the ps3? i think the ps3 will be here for like 3-4 years more than the wii, so it'll have those extra years to get close to the wii.

As far as all their "big guns" released, do not forget.  Sony said it is a 10 year lifespan which we are in year 4 of.  

I think the developers will be able to put out games for the PS3 in the next few years that will blow away the "big gun" games that we have LTD.
