Gradius, Castlevania and Contra Rebirths; Silent Hill: Shattered Memories; Lost in Shadow (I think that's its name - the odd platformer) are all good games or at least look like effort has been made. Not played the last one as its not out yet.

Well I can see your passion there. I think DS is okay myself but do find myself leaning to the view only a small number of developers really know how to make a decent game for Wii.

Off topic, this is why I worry about Natal and Arc so much. Few developers seem able to produce good stuff for motion controls on the Wii, even with the example of Nintendo titles plus the install base, and now they're suddenly going to bring forth works of genius for Natal and Arc?

History indicates the third parties are just as likely to struggle with those new options as the Wii.

Anyway, I hope you still get fun from your gaming experience, but it sounds like it's taken a knock recently.

Also I could just only buy Nintendo made games and support the failing of 3rd party support on Wii like most Wii fans.

I don't touch my handhelds much anymore. I bought my DS for Pokemon, really. After that it was pretty much dead until I found the Ace Attorney Series.
