I think people can laugh but it could be true. ODST sold nearly half of Halo 3 sales in just a few months.

Reach is being billed as Bungies last Halo title. The game is a dark story filled with mass death.
I did not buy ODST, but i will buy this because Reach is pretty much the real Halo 4 (or Halo 2).
I am sure there are loads of people who are not massive Halo fans but bought number 3, did not buy ODST but will buy Reach.

Either way even if it does not eventually match sales of Halo 3 it will probably be the biggest selling game of 2010.

I know its a joke thread.....

I am merely getting in first...and responding to the many posts I have seen over the last few months saying that halo 3 is the peak of halo sales.

 

1=many?

Aside from the first reply, nobody mentioned Halo 3 from my memmory. All they did was laugh at the absurd logic, and CoD. And you're aware of the OP's post history right?

First off, you're assuming that only Sony fanboys would want this game to sell less. There are 360 fans who don't like Halo, Nintendo fans who don't like the 360, PC fans who don't like console shooters, etc. Of course, this never occurred to your PS3, Sony fan hating self, but it's a possibility. And what reason will it sell more? I'm not saying that it's not possible, just that you provided no actual reason. You just said it will do more, and then said "the end" like you're God and your word is final. 

Stop being so biased. You have a Contributor position, you know.

sure, i think theres a lot of people like me that didnt get ODST because it was too damn short. plus there are lots of people renting it because they can beat it right away/borrowing it etc

Whatever..this isn't a very good thread, to put it nicely.

For example :

Could it have been possible for a certain person to buy both ODST and 3 for multiplayer ? That means, according to your "math" that person will buy Reach twice. Four times if he also bought 3 and ODST for the campaigns.

Reach will probably sell more than 3, but your "math" to prove so is just horribly bad..

In my opinion, telling someone to shut up as a contributor isn't a big deal.

However, showing console bias (especially when you're responsible for multiplatform-centric articles) is a problem.
