Hated equally is another name for unbiased. A good negotiater knows hes done his job when both sides are angry at him, especially if its at the same time. (Quoted from Might and Magic 7). Theres no inherant requirement for cordiality with everyone in being unbiased.
What if the person raises the ire of EVERY console group. I like to consider myself pretty unbiased if only because I've been called a Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo fanboy each multiple times.
