Confrontation was made by a different developer. And MAG and SOCOM 4 are developed by different teams at Zipper, you shouldn't worry.

Here's how you do it, you start with episode 4. And the rest is history 
We all know Killzone 3 and Res 3 and INfamous 2 are in delelopment as we speak, A new Socom will be great, 12 hour campaign, 5 player online co-op, 32 player multi , and a great intence story, So I am excited, Sony has so many great games on the way, Its such a great time to be a gamer, Ps3 is my main console, Between that and my 360, ME2, Splintercell, Halo Reach also coming , man what a supern year, then 2011, we will have KZ3, Res 3, and many others, wow its crazy, 3D on the way, Sonys Arc, Natal, jjust a great and exciting time to be playing games. To all enjoy this time, Both 360 and PS3 have superb game Library and if you are like me and own both, we are in a great posection. Good Luck and Enjoy.

I'm super excited! I was hoping it would be Resistance 3, I never expected SOCOM 4 and I'm happy!
SOCOM is the king of tactical, team based shooters. It beats out games like Ghost Recon easily!
SOCOM 4 will be a first day buy for me.
Why are people saying that it shouldn't be shooter. I'm personally glad it's a shooter. The Ps3 needs more exclusive AAA shooters. They currently have Killzone 2 but that's it. Shooters are the only department in which the Ps3 is inferior to the 360 IMO ( Halo, Gears, L4D, Mass effect: if you call that a shooter). The Ps3 has Mag, Resistance, and that other socom. None of them were AAA like the 360. Also most Americans love shooters and America is the main territory were the Ps3 REALLY needs to catch the 360. And with more shooters, this could help gain sales in Amereica.
I do believe that there are too many shooters though. But if people are buying them, then sony needs to make them.
Killzone 3, Resistance 3, Dark Cloud 3, Kingdom Hearts 3, no more threes I can think of.
Boom Socom 4! I am happy. Think of it this way, if this was announced before GDC / E3 what the ef they got to show us later?
