yes theres tons of apps and best of all is that android is an open source 

not like apple that 1st they have to approve the app b4 it goes to the app store

I have a Sony Ericsson k660i. It doesn't get much use (like an hour total per month, and I don't have another phone at home). It's also on weird periods such as 2 weeks in my jacket while battery runs flat, then two weeks home recharging and being ignored when it's time to go out.
And it's also usually on silent since I don't want to hear it anyway. In other words, I hate mobiles and try to get people used to the idea that they are better off leaving a message on skype or writing an email.

But I have cool Persona 3 stuff hanging from it.
