Forums - Sales Discussion - Ps3 Games Have Legs

Games on the 360 tend to start well but if you examine the weekly world top 50 it is full of PS3 titles. How many games in which sales are close will the PS3 eventually have that surpass the 360? I would say quite a few, Grid did it recently. Why do you guys think PS3 games have such good legs but they get killed usually during the first month?

Personally, I think it is marketing Microsoft is always spending big money on advertising something so I have noticed they tend to drop in some products from time to time. I used to think there was a shooter bias on 360 and for the mosst part that is still true FPS always sell better on 360, but since the 360 is still outselling the PS3 on other multiplat genres maybe it is something else perceived better multiplayer, exclusive dlc or something else? You tell me.

PS3 software is really starting to sale well. Sold as much as 360 last month. I own both consoles, I love my PS3, I just buy 360 exclusives like Mass Effect 2, which was a superb game, I wish the Mass Effect series was on the PS3 it would do well. 2009 and on I believe is PS time , Ps3 will continue to sale more consoles and software.

I also noticed same thing. Look at MW2 and AC2. Both ver sold very close weekly eventhough X360 ver destroy PS3 ver in 1st month.

PS3 software has legs as people are buying their PS3s only recently. Meaning that they have a lot to catch up to with MGS4, LBP, KZ2, U, U2! Phew!

I don't see any legs...

While the PS3 may have stronger legs in some games, front loaded sales are definitely best.

Dead space for example is selling more copies on the PS3 now, but its at the $20 price tag. I assume the 360 version sold more at $60. Therefore the 360 version was more profitable.

"Legs" is not a word to describe PS3 games.

This is reserved to Wii and DS games.

I don't think that you know the definition of legs.

The PS3 doesn't not have good legs.

Now Stacey Kiebler, on the other hand, has great legs.
