Less than 1k difference. Can't get more statistically tied than that.

PSP also.  There's basically a ~1k spread between Wii/PS3/PSP in MC.

well Wii gets sthe best releases this week, but nothing after that till Xenoblade hits. I'm guessin PS3 will edge the Wii during this time especially after Yakuza is released

^Only if PS3 maintains momentum from the 250 GB SKU

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! I think the Wii lineup will fill out quite a bit, but I agree we won't see anything "big" until Xenoblade.  Wii's "baseline" is still ahead of PS3's "baseline" though, so unless it's a week with a big(ish) PS3 release, Wii will still likely come in ahead.

Anyway, here's their confirmed lineups (new releases and retail only) for the year... I've bolded anything that can potentially sell over 200k imo..

You don't think FFXIV can't sell above 200k for a console with a more online centric audience than the PS2 which also includes a harddrive?

Why is Kirby always there? To fill something?

Nope, I think it'll do about the same as FFXI absolute best case scenario.  When FFXI launched it was PS2 only (with a bundled HDD), the PC port came six months later.   FFXIV is PS3/PC day-and-date, and most MMORPG players in Japan still game on PCs.  That's where the MoHun Frontier and FFXI crowds are, and that's who FFXIV is targeting.

Kirby's there because Nintendo put it in their release list for this year, just like Sony put in Trico, WKC2 and GT5.  It might not happen, but if it does it'll could outsell every PS3 game released this year going by the series history (nearly every Kirby platformer's a million seller in Japan, including the two on DS this gen).

Not this year, that's for sure.  I think we could get a DQVII remake this year though.
