By the nintendo calendar, Last Story is a Japan holiday release only, it will be released in west only in 2011.

And for this spring we have Sin and Punishment 2.

good lineup, looks like nintendo have got thier act together.

I think they improved the visuals. If you look at the trailer, you can see a Chain Chomp on a small planet. You can see all the metalic details on the Chomp (cracks). The grass on the planet is improved too!

do you know what day they end? last year my final A level was a maths exam from 1-3 on the day of E3. i had to run and catch an early bus so i didnt miss the nintendo conference :D 

 

I missed the fall summit due to having classes, but thanks to uni i can watch this year since ive already done my lectures.

 

have an essay in for tommorow which isnt good tho. does anyone here happen to be knowledgeable on the Carolingian Empire?

I would have to agree with Skeeuk on this one, in all honesty. I mean, I absolutely loved Galaxy, and while I'm sure I'll love its sequel, the reason I loved Galaxy is because it felt so fresh, and it kept up the longstanding Mario tradition of having each sequel being reinvented rather than just being a simple numerical sequel or an expansion pack of sorts. Galaxy symbolized everything we should be seeing more of in gaming for me, and the idea of a Galaxy 2 is essentially the antithesis of that idea. The Gears 2s and Halo 3s and COD7s and other such cut-and-paste sequels are easily the least appealing aspect of the 'gaming industry' to me. They're essentially the same games with a couple of additional bullet-points on the back of the box to justify throwing another 50 bones down, and that's the exact feeling I'm getting from Galaxy 2. "More of the same, but now with Yoshi! And a drill!" Look at Super Mario Bros. next to Super Mario Bros. 2 and 3 and World. That's how a sequel should be done!

But, having said that, I'm still hopeful for Galaxy 2, and I'm sure it will be objectively another excellent romp through outer space... it just feels so unnecessary. 

Although you have a point Galaxy has one thing the other 3d Marios and most other games for that matter don't, a concept with almost infinite possibilities in platforming, the gravity concept practically allows 100% freedom for level design allowing the concept to go on longer then any other in platforming due to high number of possibilities. This means that it can be Galaxy 2 in name but doesn't mean playing it will be the same as Galaxy, it will be no different then playing SMB3 then moving on to SMW for all we know, as for the release date Australia is the Pal region so this date probably corresponds to the European release as well.

I wonder what's coming out this holiday season in America from Nintendo? The only thing I can come up with is Zelda, Span Smasher, The Last Story, Xenoblade, Line Attack Heroes, and Pikmin 3.

My A2 Level exams end on 18th June

BUT I need to do a chemistry retake for the January module, so that will be on the 28th of june

but exam fever will be over by 18th June

oh & don't even TALK about E3 & exams

last year I had all my major exams, bio/chem/maths IN E3 WEEK!!!!!!!!!

I had chemistry the day after SONY/Ninty conferences

This year guess what all my major exams are between 15th & 18th....n thats E3 week again!
