Wrong. It's buying the core games that let them know. More great core games have to be put on the Wii and people will buy them, not niche games presented as tests.



A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Honestly, the game is probably too good to deserve that. Maybe a 6.5 because it is light on features, but a 2 just shows IGN's bias, like when they ripped Sonic and the Black Knight to shreds.

Real people with no agenda on Amazon HIGHLY disagree with the review score.

And the core games don't seem to sell enough, while games like Just Dance are selling millions.

Now, put a whole bunch of money/effort into creating a new core game on Wii with a risk of it bombing... Or quickly make Just Dance 2 with extra tracks, more moves, a few more features, and guarentee an easy profit.

I know which route i would take if i were a developer.

Just Dance was advertised.  Big difference.

That doesnt change the fact that Just Dance is a quick, easy profit.

first off all way to many replies to my post (which I expected)

What's happening to gaming is that games which are made in approx. 2 months dev time sell buttloads without having to be especially good, while on the other hands lots of high quality games barely make a profit, if at all.

and yes I blame the Wii for it. (and the consumers)

Oh and if Natal and Arc lead to the same result, I'll be ashamed of them as well obviously.

With this statement I'm outta here. Have a nice thread.

Couldn't agree more, I played it awhile ago over my friends during a party and hilarity ensued. I wouldn't buy the game but it was fun especially for the ladies  :)

Who even still goes to IGN or reads anything from their 'journalists'?  Only a fool imo  ;)

You know a game is bad when you ask yourself "how could this possibly be worse?" and the only thing you can come up with is "less songs".

Just imagine Guitar Hero with about 20 really shit songs. You pick a song and start playing. The controller doesn't recognise your input 90% of the time as you try to follow what's happening on screen. The scoring system seemingly just picks a random number at the end of it and then sends you back to the menu. Then all there is to do is the exact same thing again to a different song.

But you're waving your arms around pretending to be Britney Spears! Whis is fun. And I'm not being sarcastic. It is lots of fun. But it is not a good game.

I actually own Just Dance (wife wanted it. She loves it of course) but I'm too ashamed to add it to my collection :(
