i was just browsing and noticed that Quantic dreams last game ,indigo prophecy,was rated 83 on metacritics while heavy rain is rated at 89 on metacritics.

so is it safe to assume that QD has improved upon their own formula?

P.S. I haven't played HR yet .

Well, yeah. It's made by the same people and it improves on IP's mistakes (and there were plenty --I replayed it a couple of nights ago) and it's on far superior hardware. Really, IP was good for the time but......it sorta sucks.

of course it is, if you have... or should i say FINISHED Indigo Prophecy you will know why its a piece of poop. that had a good idea but done VEEEEEEEEEEERRYYY badly.

screw metcritic....this game is AAA easily.

Indigo Prophecy had completely game breaking controls. Heavy Rain follows the Mario 64 standard where pressing the stick to the left will move your character to the left of the screen. It's a simple and basic thing that you take for granted until some goofball ass game (Indigo Prophecy) comes out and doesn't follow that rule. Everytime the camera changed in IP your controls got nonsensically scrambled and the camera changed like every 6 steps.

Fixing that takes their system from unplayable to playable, which should be way more than a 6 point difference imo.
