Both are exclusive to 1 platform,and both have their fans.

Both will have good marketing and both games will be great.

But who will sell more? Why do you think so?

Alan Wake is the obvious choice.

Unless something goes surprisingly wrong with Alan Wake it should be the clear sales winner.

AW having traditional gameplay elements is another way of saying that it's a shooter.

Probably Alan Wake, although I see no reason why Heavy Rain shouldn't sell 1 million units.

Alone in the dark was one game that had lots of potential, but gameplay mechanics and so much of stuff went wrong leading to very poor sales. The protagonist in this strikingly resembles the one in that game but I feel this game should win in the gameplay far above and have decent sales.

Probably Alan Wake but both games should do well in sales. 

alan wake, like CGI said AW is a much more traditional game which in turns means it will appeal to more people. ...but nothing would make me happier than seeing heavy rain have strong sales.

AW is making sony only owners like myself jealous played the HR demo and i wouldnt of cared if HR was on 360 only

playing as many characters, difficult/awkward walking, and constant camera changing like the old REs made me pass on HR

playing as one character like in AW makes me get into the game more makes me feel like im am one with the character i cant become one wit the character in HR if its constantly changing i dont like games where there are co-op AI or multiple playable characters ex Uncharted 1 vs U2 liked U1 better b/c u spend more time ALONE same applies to RE5 all REs b4 didnt have co-op AI for the entire game except 0 but i didnt like that much either but at least that one was spooky i feel thats one reason RE5 dissapionted most

also AW is gettin DLC and should be getting sequels idk wat is up wit HR if it will see sequels but wat AW is doing is making it sound like it will be a epic series kinda like SH RE Siren, that will attract more to it
