Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Remedy explains decision to release Alan Wake on Xbox 360 only

What a lame excuse. They saw some $ from MS, that´s it. PC gamers do have large screnns as well.

Learn2Read... What he said is that you actually do not require a large screen to enjoy Alan Wake. The reason was development time and development costs which is fair enough, maybe they saw dollar signs but when your small and poor that is a fair enough. Releasing a game is a huge risks especially when it has been in development for such a long time. If Microsoft can pay them so much that they don't have to worry about the studio's future then why not? They get some quick cash to see another day and if the 360 version is a succes then they can always see what the future holds.

As for PC gamers having been screens, how do you know? Microsoft can't even claim all 360 owners have that.

Well, that's better. A nice, clean reason rather than the lamest excuse since having your dog eat your homework.

I'd prefer this on PC, because then I'd buy it rather than just play it at my mates, but clearly MS want 360 only, and Remedy are only too happy, for reasonable reasons given, to oblige at this point.

The grumbling will rumble on for a while though, as really it was expected on PC for so long - and tied to pushing some new tech - that those who really wanted it on PC have fair reason to feel a little peeved at this relatively late (since announcement that is) switch.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

this is most likely going to pc

I hope it doesn't come for PC because I hate to spend $60 on a game and after a few months find out that I can get the game for free.

This is more believable than the "lol, comfy couch" statement microsoft issued a little while back.

Makes sense.. They started as a team of 30 people and now they're at about 50 people. If they wanted to release it on both platforms, it would put a strain on the development team, which means both versions would be lower quality, or we needed to wait another few years.. And I don't think anyone likes either of the cases.

Truth does not fear investigation

Did gaming rigs get their GPU's S-video port/HDMI out ripped off. Oh C'mon Remedy...we are missing it out on PC's

+ 1 :D

Pretty good reason IMO. Still even tough this is probably true, I also bealieve that MS had to do something with this

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

Nice. That means PC/PS3/Wii gamers (including ME!) can enjoy this game, too.
