HOWEVER please keep 4 player split screen i love playing with my friends and on live SO much its whats MADE halo 3 so fantastic!

  They do have 4 player split screen again, don't worry, and it will be for offline and online campaign, as well as offline and online multiplayer.

I think they added sprinting? At least that's what it looked like in the video doc.

Sprinting is one of the "armor abilities" that can be picked up.  It is not something that is useable at all times.

I believe you can customise your armor pieces. They removed Equipment (Halo 3) and to replace it added certain abilities with pieces of armor. If you have the part equipped you can press X and sprint for a limited amount of time as many times as you want. You just have to wait for the cooldown period to expire before activating Sprint again.
