Ya know,I use to be a big fan of Sony almost as much as I am with Ninty, but things like this just keep helping me recall why I have not bought a PSP or PS3. IF they would just get over it and do their games and systems they would have had another customer again.

So, you did not buy a Ps3 or PSP because of PR trash talking? I am tongue tied.

It is pretty easy to understand really. I do not eat food at a place if the employees are rude. I do not buy anything form anywhere were The employees are openly rude. So why would I buy from a company I find to be extremely rude? I am happy with my Wii and DS for my games. Sure I would not mind havng a PS3 and or a PSP, but agian I do not buy from a company who openly over an over makes the customer feel like crap, or is just simply full of it, etc. I have a ps1 and a ps2 I still enjoy them. BUt as of now I will never buy a PS3. P.R. is a huge deal to companies. In fact it is one of the biggest. The better everyone sees a company the better they do and vice versa it is nothing new.

Even though the food might be good? Don't know what an employee has to do with the actual product.

To sum it up, it's unlogical. I go to Pizza Hut, The employees piss me off. Sure, it might be repulsive but if the food is good, some trashtalking from someone I don't even care about won't stop me from eating something delicious. Just an example.

Just find it kind of silly to not buy something that might turn out to be great because of some silly trash talking a PR does.

Of course they sell. It's just that they are overshadowed by the amazing sales of Nintendo published games. But then the vast majority of PS360 games (combined) are overshadowed by the amazing sales of Nintendo published titles.

“The fundamental cause of the trouble is that in the modern world the stupid are cocksure while the intelligent are full of doubt.” - Bertrand Russell

"When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace."

I agree though only in terms of how large the userbase is compared to the small amount sold. It is utter rubbish to say that 3rd party games don't sell when they are consistently above 360,PS3 games. And if you think about it logically it would mean that 0 3rd party games are sold which is also wrong.

The employee has tons to do with the product. If I can get  good food and everything elsewhere why would I go back to the place I find rude?

Food ain't the same everywhere. Why not try some variety? Maybe you'll come to like the "food".

EDIT : Replaced Anywhere with Everywhere.

It might be true to some extent on the Wii, but that is completely wrong about the DS, and Sony is obviously just trying to stigmatize the competition by bundling it in with the Wii. The comments made about the DS won't stand up to even casual investigation.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

I am really confused as to why you are taking issue with Games4Fun's stance on this issue.  It is extremely common behavior among consumers.  Businesses that treat their customers well see repeat business.  Businesses that don't lose customers.

I definitely disagree about DS. 3rd party games don't sell on PSP, but he would never bring that up.

Not a 360 fanboy, just a PS3 fanboy hater that likes putting them in their place ^.^

I don't get how people can base the quality of a product off 1 person's bullshit...It's not like the whole SCE is like that. Doesn't make sense, at least give it a chance and play it with an open mind. It might be the next best thing for the person.

EDIT: Going around the pot here, I've explained my point using the simplest example I could think of.

It is not about the quality of the product.  It is about the way they treat their customers.

Let's go back to the restaurant example one of you used.  A particular restaurant may have some the best food in the world, but if the waiters get your order wrong, the food takes forever to get to you, and the manager doesn't care when you complain, then most people wouldn't go back.

It appears the Games4Fun does not like the way that Sony treats gamers, so he does not buy their console.  That's the way business works.
