There's actually a VGChartz "Rule" on what you can call an "exclusive" LMAO!

Do not call a game that is not exclusive an exclusive. This is considered trolling. This includes PC and console multiplats. For full details on this read this topic. Mods will be lenient about accidentally mislabeling a game you were uninformed about to some extent, but know what you are posting about. Repeat offenses of this will result in moderation.

A "console exclusive" is a multiplatform game available on PC platform AND also on a console platform, like 360. This name appeared with the 360 as a way to find exclusives on 360 where in fact the 360 had very few real exclusives since nearly every 360 game was available on PC (gears, mass effect, and so on). It's basically Microsoft PR, which was later used by 360 fanboys...

An "exclusive" is a game available on only 1 platform, for example PS3, or 360. If it's available on PC and 360, or on PS3 and 360, it's a multiplatform game. Simple really. The link above states the same thing.

Hence, PS3 has a lot of exclusive games, and 360 has very few real exclusives.

Exclusives are the holy grails of gaming that determine which console is teh bestest than the restest.*

*Only applied for when one is debating between 360 vs. PS3. Wii/DS/PSP/PC not included.

Console exclusives are something that appear on only the PS3, 360, or Wii and the PC. Exclusives are something that only appears on the PS3, 360, Wii, or PC.

In general, I consider console exclusives and exclusives the same thing but that's just me. I'll still say console exclusive when I remember just to avoid moderations, respect to the rules, and whining by PC enthusiasts, but I don't actually consider the PC when I think of exclusives and all that.
