From neoGaf:
Listened to the 1up interview:
-Effort in "putting the civilians culture to life", Will see civilians, fight alongside civilians. Seem like they really want you to care about Reach and the civilians will play a part in it.
-Absolutely no dual wielding in Reach
- To stay fresh they'll be throwing a lot of scenarios at the player that're really new and fresh
-on the topic of the height of the different models. The spartans are shorter than spartan IIs and the elites are taller. "That definitely plays into the mechanics of each of those characters. And we're playing with that, we're actually have a good time making sure that actually balances well together in multiplayer." So yeah, elites in MP, and not even midget elites to match the spartan models but models that are significantly larger. It'll be interesting to see steps they take to make elites something other than bigger targets with huge heads. Hopefully they'll put code in to make certain models restricted for whatever reason may arise.
They confirm elites in MP in this interview at 1:40 too. Also from this interview they say "no spartan classes" which I take to mean no class based system if that was even still being speculated.

I updated the OP a bit, i'll get some screens up, and all that good stuff later, keep the news flowing, Halo: Reach will be awesome!
