I am expecting nothing new.

except maybe a little bit more info on already known games. GDC should be better, and E3 should be better than that.

I don't think that will be too hard.Considering that both were more casual gamer oriented.Albeit Metroid Other M and Mario Galaxy 2 can be consider big announcements.Any way it really bugs me when there is a heap of hype and we all end up dissapointed.

I suspect they have decided that since they haven't had a fair reception from gaming press @ E3 they would stage their own event and do it under their terms.

That would be huge in Japan, and at this point we don't have a Nintendo Japan Sumit confirmed.€

It has to be very good to beat the sexiness of Metroid: Other M.

So, Zelda Wii footage, a new gameplay video from Metroid: Other M, Fatal Frame IV finally coming to the west, western release dates for Reginleif, Kirby Wii + some things I forgot + a couple of new games. Make it happen.

Pokemon Sunday was where Heart Gold and Soul Silver emerged, and given that these are probably Japan-first, it would make little sense for an EU/NA event to do much about them.
