Gonna borrow my neices DS to play this!

Not surprised G/S were the best in the series to begin with now with the added content of various games in the remake and a huge double main quest I'm not surprised it's being well recieved. Probably a prelude to the 5th generation.

Time to buy a DS that works.

This game is going to keep me busy until 2011, which by then the 5th gen Pokemon games will be released outside of Japan.

Is there anything really at all that different from the first pokemon? I've tried several but they all seem like im playing the exact same game.

To be honest, IMO, not much. Just a few gameplay tweaks like gender and abilities and day/night etc. I am hoping Gen V changes the Pokemon formula dramatically for the best.
