Welcome to the Official Thread

Soon, we are all going to be basking in the radiant glory that is LBP. Of course, one of the biggest draws to the game just so happens to be community. Here we will bring together the LBP players who of course will be creating levels and enjoying the game together online.

One reason for this is that people have stated previously in some threads that it might take a long while to make a level by oneself. Another great reason however is that it will help us get to know each other better, and really take advantage of everything LBP has to offer.

Listing your psnID here will help everyone find each other once the game is finally out and we can also track what levels people have made and share them. We will also figure out other ways to identify our community once everything is in place. You may list a PSNid regardless if you have the game.

Also we can set meeting times, and I'm weighing the possibility of have some competitions where we each take one common idea and see which groups excercise their talents with maximum ability!!!!1 :P

 Please check the newly created "official thread news" section at your leisure for info on competitions, highlights, and updates regarding status and such. 

I will update this thread periodically (at least twice a week) with the levels our contributors have made.
I humbly request all suggestions, which you can either message to me, or post here.

National Contest 

Official Thread News:

I have decided that we will begin our first round of competitive level design sometime after Chistmas just to give everyone time to get the game and/or PS3 so that they can participate on the groundfloor of the OLBPT (Official LBP Thread).

We are taking requests on a name to refer to ourselves besides "members of the OLBPT". "The Fighting Mongooses" has been suggested already so please don't use that as input.

We are also accepting news link now. If you have any good links, preferably within VGChartz.com, send them my way by message or wall post. Our first news link is up and it refers to the recent interview with the developers of LBP, Media Molecule.

I need some people to help judging contest levels. You will be able to submit entries yourselves, being judges, because I hope to have enough diversity to subdue bias.

2. This is more than just people talking about lbp, this is about really making a community online, and making an impact. I want to really let the sparks fly here. I want people to list VGChartz as having an awesome LBP organization. We can do a lot with this if you join.

A little suggestion already, put the name of the users here on VGChartz beside their PSN ID. It might be useful to know who you'll be dealing with online. ;)

I'm not a fan of PS3, but I really do like how LBP is shaping up. I still hold by my long held assessment that LBP is going to make it or break it for the PS3 and with the stuff they've shown on the Beta videos and such, it looks like it's going to be getting filed in the "make it" category.

If I ever do get a PS3, LBP will definitely be hte first game I get for it, and I'll be certain to add my name to the list over here.
