It might be. its still on sale in the US. My theory is that Sony had a surplus of consoles because they thought GTA 6 was coming out last year. From a consumer perspective now is the best time to get a PS5 pre-GTA 6 release. Especially given all the uncertainty about pricing and RAM stock.
