Around the Network

With Nintendo raising their forecast, will be interesting to follow Switch 2 sales trending upwards the coming weeks.

Much lower sales than Dragon Quest 3, but considering that's the most famous and beloved game in the franchise, not too surprising.

I expected a better debut for DQ I+II tbh, down 36% compared to DQ III

Maybe PC is the second biggest platform?

Its expected, DQ 3 has much more nostalgia, and was the first DQ game for a lot of Japanese DQ fans.

Hopefully SW2 is stocked enough to get 100k+ weeks for the rest of the year.

I wonder how many PS5 systems officially sold in Japan that were then exported to other markets, given that the main reason why Sony increased the price of the PS5 in Japan was to combat those exports.

Does the PS5 in reality "only" have a 4-5M user base in Japan? Because i don't think a shift to digital sales alone can explain the huge difference between PS5 software sales in Japan compared to PS4, it would be logical if the user base is considerably smaller in reality as well.

I mean on current trends Switch 2's top five best selling games will already pretty much surpass PS5 top five best selling games on the Famitsu charts during this holiday period. That should be impossible if the PS5 really would have a 7M+ active user base in Japan.

how do these numbers compare to Switch's first holiday quarter so far?
